"De minimis" refers to small government subsidies that are not considered to distort competition and can therefore be obtained through a simplified procedure.

De minimis refers to small government subsidies that are not considered to distort competition. The Federal Office for Logistics and Mobility (BALM) uses these subsidies to promote measures to improve the environment, safety, and efficiency in road freight transport—including GPS trackers and telematics solutions.
Companies engaged in road haulage with headquarters in Germany that have a valid Community license or permit for commercial road haulage are eligible to apply.
The subsidy rate is up to 80% of eligible expenses, with a maximum of €2,000 per vehicle. The annual cap is €33,000 per company.
Yes, the funding application must be submitted via the BALM portal before the start of the project (i.e., before purchase or installation). Retrospective applications will not be accepted.
Eligible for funding are, among other things, telematics systems with GPS tracking, hardware and software for increasing efficiency and safety, and consulting on safety and environmental issues. Important: Only measures that go beyond the minimum legal requirements are eligible for funding.
