MACHINES.CLOUD Update 04.26

The latest MACHINES.CLOUD update includes technical upgrades and enhancements in the areas of device management, administration, the Cockpit, and Machines Access. The goal is to improve performance, increase flexibility, and make the platform more efficient for everyday use.

Web SDK Updates

Device Dashboards:
in Device Management

With the Angular upgrade to version 20 and the introduction of standalone component mode, the technical foundation has been modernized. This has led to new development patterns, improved performance, and an overall more developer-friendly, future-proof codebase.

Device-specific dashboards are now available directly in Device Management. This is complemented by templates for consistent dashboard views across different device types, enabling uniform analysis and direct monitoring on each device.

's Improved Asset Search with Wildcards

Improved Device Map

The asset search has been updated to a wildcard search and now returns significantly more comprehensive results—even for partial text. By default, the search takes into account the Internal ID, Serial, and Name attributes. Additional fields can be searched as usual via the asset table, allowing even incomplete search terms to quickly yield precise results.

The previous limit of 100 devices has been removed. In cases of high device density, clustering ensures a clear layout, while unlimited scrolling and an auto-refresh feature with pause and resume options make the interface easy to use. This keeps the device mapping clear and organized, even with large amounts of data.

Bug fix: Fixed the 403 map error

An issue involving a 403 error in the map view (OpenStreetMap), which previously caused an annoying pop-up notification, has been resolved. The issue was caused by restrictive policy settings, which have been adjusted accordingly so that the map display can now be used reliably and without error messages.

New Module: Feature Toggle

Migration to Data Explorer V2

The Feature Toggle module makes it easy to enable or disable custom features and preview functions in a clear and organized way. This gives users greater flexibility and control when using new features, without requiring additional configuration or deployment.
The Data Explorer has been updated to version 2 and now offers a significantly improved overview. Data points can be easily shown or hidden, and a direct data export feature is also available. This enables more intuitive analysis and more efficient data utilization, particularly for precise before-and-after comparisons. Upon request, you can revert to version 1.

Further Development: Global Time Context for Dashboards

The Global Time Context has been extensively enhanced and provides centralized control over the time range, auto-refresh, and aggregation across the entire dashboard. Widgets can be synchronized or decoupled individually. This is complemented by simplified link and unlink mechanisms, a dashboard-wide time slider, and a global auto-refresh, resulting in a consistent, synchronized view of data and making the analysis of time series significantly more efficient.

Performance Update:
Google Maps Widget

The Google Maps widget has been optimized for loading times and responsiveness. Map content loads faster and interactions are smoother, resulting in significantly improved performance and a more seamless user experience, especially when many devices are displayed.

Alarm List Widget: New Version

The Alarm List widget has been redesigned and released in a new version. Its appearance, usability, and internal structure have been modernized, enabling a more consistent and efficient user experience while improving clarity and stability when handling large amounts of data.

Optimized clustering in the device map

Machines Access: Performance Update & New Look

Clustering in the Device Map has been improved so that devices are grouped more efficiently and displayed more clearly. This results in better performance and clearer visualization, especially for large device inventories.

The "Machines Access" module has been updated both technically and visually. Thanks to optimizations in data processing and modern UI enhancements resulting from the Angular migration, users benefit from faster loading times and a more consistent interface, which translates into noticeably better performance in day-to-day work and a more modern, intuitive user experience.
